tieback

is delivered as a multi-tenant SaaS platform with subscription plans tailored to brand size, programme complexity, and operational needs. This page documents how the commercial model is structured. Current pricing is shared privately during the sales process and inside the in-product Billing workspace.

Plan Structure

Subscriptions are organised into tiers that scale across the dimensions that matter for a Digital Product Passport programme:

DimensionWhat it covers
Members & seatsNumber of brand members with workspace access, derived from the user_roles footprint
ProductsMaximum products in the catalogue
MintsVolume of issued tokens / passports per billing period
Custom hostnamesWhether branded resolver hostnames are included
Advanced TemplatesWhether Track B advanced template authoring is enabled
Tia AI Operations AssistantWhether Tia is included and at what credit allowance
LocalisationsNumber of active Market Packs and translation languages
Support & SLASupport response targets and uptime commitments

Seat Accounting

Seat consumption is computed deterministically from the brand’s user_roles table — every user with at least one active role inside the workspace counts as a seat. Removing a member from the workspace immediately frees their seat. Platform staff (platform_admin) operating inside a tenant for support purposes do not consume tenant seats.

Tia Credits

Tia operations consume Tia Credits. Each plan includes a credit allowance per billing period. Additional credits can be purchased on-demand through the in-product Tia Credits checkout. Credit consumption is logged per Tia interaction and visible in the workspace’s billing panel.

Overage Model

Where a plan exposes metered limits (for example, mint volume), usage above the included allowance is reconciled at the end of the billing period through an automated overage run. Overage is invoiced separately and is fully visible in the workspace’s billing history before the charge is applied.

Onboarding & Activation

New brands choose a plan during onboarding. The signup flow generates a Stripe checkout session; on successful payment the workspace is activated and the brand is routed into the Setup Wizard. See Onboarding.

Billing Portal

Workspace owners can manage subscription details — payment method, invoices, plan changes, and cancellation — through the Stripe-hosted Customer Portal, accessible from Settings → Billing. All billing state is mirrored back into the workspace via Stripe webhooks.

Where Pricing Lives

Per-plan pricing in GBP, USD, and EUR is shown:

  • Inside the Plan Selection screen during onboarding
  • Inside Settings → Billing for existing workspaces
  • During sales conversations with the tieback team

Pricing is intentionally not published in this documentation surface.
