Tia operations are metered in Tia Credits. Credits decouple AI consumption from base subscription cost so workspaces can scale Tia usage independently from product, mint, or seat volume.

How Credits Are Consumed

Each Tia interaction consumes credits proportional to the work performed:

  • Diagnostic and read-only intelligence calls consume a small number of credits
  • Long-running tool loops, anomaly sweeps, and document analysis consume more
  • Approval-gated mutations (One-Action-at-a-Time) consume credits at the action staging step

Every consumption event is logged with full attribution — actor, workspace, tool, model, and credit amount — through the Tia enterprise audit logging model.

Included Allowance

Each subscription plan includes a Tia Credit allowance per billing period. The current balance and consumption rate are visible in the workspace’s billing and Tia panels.

Top-Ups

Workspace owners can purchase additional Tia Credits at any time through the in-product Tia Credits checkout. Top-up credits are added to the workspace balance immediately on successful payment and do not expire within the active subscription period.

Reconciliation

If a workspace exhausts its included allowance and has no top-up balance, Tia interactions degrade gracefully — read-only diagnostics remain available within tight rate limits, while heavier operations require a top-up before they will run.
